This rib fracture formula, taken as a decocted tea, is composed of herbs that specifically target the ribs and chest area.

Function: Promotes flow of blood and liver qi, dispel stasis, relieve pain.
Indications: This formula should be used only for rib pain resulting from a fracture with no complications. It can also be used when intercostal muscles are damaged from an impact injury.
This formulation is very strong and specific for ribs. Taking rib fracture formula can significantly reduce the pain, ease your breathing, and help speed the healing time; especially if used in conjunction with Yunnan Paiyao plaster or Wu Yang plaster.
It should not be used for rib pain due to internal causes such as a cough, lung abscess, lung cancer, and the like.

Directions:
One package of herbs makes 1 cup of tea.
Decoct the herbs by cooking with water to make a tea. As a dietary supplement, take 1 cup of tea daily for 3-4 days or until all pain has been gone for one week.
Decoction: Place 1 bag of herbs in a stainless-steel, glass, or porcelain cooking pot. Add 5-6 cups of water. Cover the pot and bring to a boil. When the water is boiling, reduce the flame and simmer uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until about 1 cup of liquid remains. Strain out the herbs and discard. Cool to room temperature. Drink one cup per day until all pain has been gone for one week. Traditionally, you drink 1/2 cup in the morning and 1/2 cup at night. (between meals).
Optional:
As a dietary supplement, take Die Da Wan hit pills for 2-3 days immediately following the rib fracture (1 pill, 2x day, morning and evening). Then begin this formula. Use Yunnan Paiyao or Wu Yang plasters to aid in reducing pain, but take care not to burn the skin through over-use or if your skin is sensitive.
